DoFollow - List of Sites that Follow

Just a quick post about a neat little list I stumbled upon. Courtney Tuttle has a big list on her site (currently over 200) of blogs that are part of the DoFollow movement and actually give link credit for comments posted on their blogs. If you’re not clear on what DoFollow is, check out a previous post I did letting people know that I installed it.

Please do not use this list to do blog spamming with. If you are going to comment on these blogs, it shouldn’t purely be for the purpose of increasing your PageRank and incoming links. You should only make worthwhile comments to these blogs!

    I have dofollow on my blog and haven’t had any problem with spam. Everyone should do it since it is a way to recompense people that leave comments.

    I don’t post period on a blog unless it’s a dofollow. Just my policy. I also return the favor to visitors on my sites as well, however.

    A lot of these lists are starting to get a little outdated. Does anyone do this anymore?

    I have also found even if you make a very relevant comment on some of these blogs they will moderate it out and check to make sure you didn’t get there from a dofollow list referral. I think some just want to get links as part of being on a list but not return the favor. Then you have bloggers who will only do-follow after you have so many comments and some that have very creepy obsessions with needing to know everything about you and see your family pictures,etc.

    I agree with the dofollow, it should be turned on aitomatically in the blog software and then people should just edit out spam, i have dofollow on my site but i will not tolerate spam, cheers Mick…

    Dofollow is becoming increasingly popular and at times abused. Use the sites but be kind and actually read their posts and make a meaningful comment that will add to the flavor of the site.

    What I don’t understand is why someone would turn their site into a dofollow site but then make all kinds of rules about what you can and cannot do. It’s kind of like a soup kitchen that offers free food but then stations armed guards at the door so they can examine everybody that wants in and turns some away because they don’t look poor enough or they think that they are there just to take advantage of them.
